How To Secure A Better Future For Your Child
The future is everything.
In my How To Identify Your Child’s Learning Style series (Part 1 | Part 2 | Part 3 | Part 4) you learned that every child is unique with a specific learning style. You’ve also learned:
How To Identify A Child’s Unique Learning Style.
How To Help A Child With Visual Learning Style To Excel.
How To Help A Child With Auditory Learning Style To Excel.
How To Help A Child With Kinesthetic Learning Style To Excel.
Unfortunately, most people don’t fit perfectly into one of the three learning style categories.
So the real skill here is somewhat counterintuitive – you have to allow your child to explore all the different ways of learning and then choose the one that best fits him/her depending on his/her responds.
So the real skill here is somewhat counterintuitive – you have to allow your child to explore all the different ways of learning and then choose the one that best fits him/her depending on his/her responds.
The reason why this is the case comes down to the future.
There’s a time to reproduce all that one has learned.
No wonder people struggle to get results – it’s so easy to use the right learning style for the wrong person.
Remember! You are your child’s best teacher, figuring out your child’s own learning style can help assure a better future.
I suggest you read The Untold Story Of A Mother Who Raised The Inventor Of The Light Bulb along with this article so you can better understand the importance of your role as a parent in your child’s development.
Parents have the most significant impact on their children's future. In one recent study, 78% of high school students said their parents were their most important source of career guidance. Are you prepared to give your children the guidance they seek for and the advice they need?
Probably not enough given that many of us have learned largely from our own parents who are products of a different thinking pattern. Gone were the days when parents had lots of time at their disposal to spend with their kids.
Fortunately, times have changed and most parents have to work long hours, spending most of their time outside the home just to make ends meet. If this is your case, don’t worry there is a way out. You can employ a private home tutor to come help your kids at home.
If you want to learn more about how to choose a good private home tutor, read this How To Get A Good Private Tutor For Homeschooling and What Makes A Good Tutor
You may be wondering why you should employ the services of a home tutor whilst tuition is essentially free in school. Well as we’ve learned, children do not always learn the same way. Some learn by listening, whiles others learn through doing and seeing. Schools typically only teach in one form, and that causes problems for many students.
Home tuition, on the other hand, provides you with a way to give your child one-on-one training. They can learn more about the topics that interest them, catch up with their classmates in school and help them excel to earn good grades and therefore get into good colleges and universities to secure a better future.
Home tuition is one of the best investments you can make for your children because it gives them a leg-up and helps them achieve what you know they can achieve. A home tutor can identify your child’s learning style and work with you to create a curriculum that is tailored specifically to your child needs. This is something that school cannot provide.
Home tuition can instill in your child the love for learning, a skill that is very crucial for their later development. No matter the field they find themselves or whatever career path they chose, continues learning would be the key to success.
Home tuition can be desirable, effective and fun for your child when they have a home tutor who is passionate about teaching.
Again, I encourage you to read what makes a good tutor and find out how you can choose a good private home tutor.
Always remember that no school can ever take care of your child the way you would and no person can better understand your child like you do. It is therefore important to take part in their education, identify their unique learning styles and play with it, using the strategies outlined in this series to improve their performance.
Doing so can help you to secure a better future for your kids.
